2016 Season Schedule Posted!

The organizers are very happy to announce the EBGL's 2016 season starts on January 8th, 2016. For the entire 2016 schedule, please click here. As announced on our forums back in December, the first game of focus of 2016, as personally selected by Jim C, is Forbidden Stars! We are still looking for a few more copies of the game so let us know if you can pick it up!

We also have quite a few new applicants joining us in January so please be sure to give them a warm EBGL welcome!

2015 EBGL Award Winners and Season End!

The 2015 Edmonton Board Gaming League season officially ended on October 17th and this year's award winners were announced during the October 30th awards ceremony event. On behalf of the entire club and our sponsors, we'd like to congratulate the following members on their 2015 awards:

2015 League Champion (highest league rating) - Jim C

2015 Board Game Bonanza Results!

Well the First Annual Edmonton Oil Kings & EBGL Board Game Bonanza went down on Saturday, October 17th. We had close to 40 people in attendance and kept about 11-12 tables of games running for the three hours.

Congrats to the following people:
- Everyone who won one of the many raffle prizes!
- Randal P for winning the X-Wing Tournament!
- Rob D for winning the King of Tokyo Tournament!
- Shawn T for winning the draw for the 2016 EBGL Season "Tie Breaker"!
- And to all 16 EBGL members in attendance for earning the rare achievement and a 2016 EBGL Season "+1 Extra Vote"!

Finally, we'd really like to thank the Oilers/Oil Kings organization (namely Jeff & Derek) for reaching out to us and not only helping making this happen, but for donating so much of their time and some great prizes to the event!

King of Tokyo Domination 2015 Results!

We had 22 players enter the EBGL's 2015 "Domination" (single elimination) tournament to see who was the real King of Tokyo...

Congrats to Callan B(left) for winning first place and Patrick C for winning second place after 4 consecutive elimination rounds.

Callan and Patrick walked away with some nice gift certificates to Mission: Fun & Games.

Thanks to all of our members who brought copies of the game and snacks - and to everyone for making this such a fun event! I think I speak for everyone there when I say it was a very energized environment.
