Alchemists Tournament Results!

The Alchemists tournament (also the final focus game of the 2015 season) ended on September 18th with first place going to Jim C with 10 points (2W,0S,1P,2T,0L,0GW) over the three days. Second place was tied between Mark H(2W,0S,0P,2T,0L,0GW) and Sean S(1W,1S,1P,2T,0L,0GW) with 8 points.

As always, thanks to everyone who purchased copies of the game and brought excellent snacks. Alchemists was also quite challenging to teach so thanks to all who took the time to make sure everyone understood the game each night!



Edmonton Oil Kings 1st Annual Board Game Bonanza!

The Edmonton Oil Kings and the Edmonton Board Gaming League are teaming up for an event designed specifically for Edmontonians: 3 hours of board gaming followed by a hockey game!

The "Board Game Bonanza" is on Saturday, October 17th 2015 at Rexall Place and starts with a pre-game board game event from 2PM - 5PM (with games and tournaments hosted by the Edmonton Board Gaming League) and continues on to an Oil Kings hockey game (Edmonton Oil Kings vs. Moose Jaw Warriors) starting at 7PM. Tickets are only $20 each and the event is open to the public!

EBGL's Domination Tournament 2015 Announced!

On Friday, October 16th the EBGL will be hosting it's annual Pay to Enter (PTE), single-elimination ladder tournament. This year the organizers have again selected King of Tokyo!

Note: unlike previous years, this is now the second-last scored event of the 2015 Season (instead of the last)!




GameAlot 2015!

The EBGL is once again sponsoring Mission: Fun & Games' Annual GameAlot convention in St. Albert this year.

At the event EBGL players will be at a number of different tables teaching modern board games. If you are interested in learning games from some of the best gamers in the area (and also helping out the St. Albert Food Bank), please check out the Gamealot website!

Note: EBGL-hosted tables are specially marked on the GameAlot Schedule and will have special signage at the event.
