Galaxy Trucker Tournament Results

The Galaxy Trucker tournament ended this week with a tie for first place between Mike and Shawn R. Both scored a total of 6 points (2W, 2L) over the two days. Second place goes to one of the League's 2010 rookies, Samson with 5 points (2W).

Congrats to all the winners and thanks to everyone who came out to try the game!

2010 Season Starts January 8th

With well over a month off to polish up on their dice rolling, chit laying, and card tapping skills, League players appear to be ready to go for another full season of fun, competitive gaming.

The 2010 EBGL season opens on January 8th with a practice night for Galaxy Trucker.

Best of luck to everyone this year and remember to check the forums (and your email) often.

The EBGL would like to thank our 2009 sponsor, Mission: Fun and Games for their continued support and kind donations to our club this year.

We'd also like to sincerely thank our members. In 2009 our club witnessed it's largest growth in 3 years (12 new members!), record attendance for our official competitive events (zero canceled events!), and successfully introduced and added the "Open Gaming" style events to our annual schedule.

We look forward to further club growth and even more fun in 2010!

2009 EBGL Season Done - Awards Announced!

The 2009 EBGL season is now done and the 2009 club awards were announced last night. On behalf of the entire club, congratulations to the following members on their 2009 awards:

2009 League Champion (highest league rating) - Chris F
2009 Most Victories (most tournament game wins) - Shawn R, Mike, Chris F
2009 Most Games Played (most games played total) - Mike
2009 Most Losses (highest number of solo/team tournament losses) - Mike
2009 Most Practices (highest number of practice games, other than the organizer) - Shawn T
2009 Best Snacks (went above and beyond the snack duty) - Cheryl
2009 Most On-Time Player (non-organizer to arrive to the most league play nights on-time) - Shawn T
2009 Least Games Played (played the minimum number of games to maintain their membership) - Julia

Also, congrats to Brent, Gary K, and Casey on their door and random prize wins!
