EBGL joins forces with CBGL! - April Fools!

The Calgary Board Gaming League and the Edmonton Board Gaming League have announced an agreement to start a monthly rotation of professional players between the clubs this year to ensure members are always gaming with new people and acquiring new strategies. Gordon Wells, Founder/Organizer of the CBGL says, "This is a great opportunity for members to meet new people in a completely different city while making it a bit harder on those players who always seem to win every darn game.".

Starting May 1st 2010, three random members from each League will be chosen to spend a month in the opposite city, competing with the local Board Gaming League division. More details to be announced soon!

EBGL24!

Details about the Edmonton Board Gaming League's second major special event (EBGL24) have been announced today in the member forums, here.

The EBGL24! event starts April 24th and is a 24 hour non-stop gaming tournament, complete with meals, prizes and unique ways for members to earn extra League points and achievements. While details are now posted, registration for the event doesn't start until April 1st.

For the first official Free-For-All game of the 2010 season, the EBGL members voted to play: Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game.
