EBGL24 Results!

I'd really like to thanks everyone who came out to play at and help organize the EBGL24 event this weekend! I don't think anyone noticed how quickly the day and night went by until we announced it was 6am.

Also, big thanks to our sponsor (Mission: Fun & Games) for donating a couple board game prizes! All-in-all I believe we had 11 prizes to give out for various things (door prizes, game victories, random wins, coop play, etc) and everyone walked away with at least 1 prize.

As for final results, Casey M. walked away with the most victories award (4W,4L) and both Casey M. and Andy M. shared the award for most games played for the first time (5 new games out of 8)!

Once again, thanks to all who attended and we hope you had a great time!

Last Night on Earth Tournament Results

The Last Night on Earth tournament ended last week with the first place position going to the undefeated Andy M. with 10 points! (4W, 0L) over the two days. Second place was a three-way tie between Jennifer S, Shawn R, and Casey M with 8 points (3W, 1L).

Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone who came out to try the game!

EBGL joins forces with CBGL! - April Fools!

The Calgary Board Gaming League and the Edmonton Board Gaming League have announced an agreement to start a monthly rotation of professional players between the clubs this year to ensure members are always gaming with new people and acquiring new strategies. Gordon Wells, Founder/Organizer of the CBGL says, "This is a great opportunity for members to meet new people in a completely different city while making it a bit harder on those players who always seem to win every darn game.".

Starting May 1st 2010, three random members from each League will be chosen to spend a month in the opposite city, competing with the local Board Gaming League division. More details to be announced soon!

EBGL24!

Details about the Edmonton Board Gaming League's second major special event (EBGL24) have been announced today in the member forums, here.

The EBGL24! event starts April 24th and is a 24 hour non-stop gaming tournament, complete with meals, prizes and unique ways for members to earn extra League points and achievements. While details are now posted, registration for the event doesn't start until April 1st.
