February & March 2013 Game of Focus Announced!

Wow, as a result of our largest poll turnout ever, the February & March 2013 Game of Focus will be Rio Grande Games' Galaxy Trucker with The Big Expansion!

The EBGL database says we currently have 5 copies shared (only 3 with The Big Expansion) and could use 1-2 more! Please let us know if you are interested in purchasing a copy of Galaxy Trucker (with The Big Expansion) for the upcoming focus. The practice night for Galaxy Trucker with The Big Expansion is on Friday, February 22nd.

Shogun with Tenno's Court Tournament Results!

The Shogun with Tenno's Court tournament ended on February 8th, with a tie for first between Michael F and Mike I with 10 points (2W,1P,0S,0L) over the three days. Second place was tied between Callan B and Chris F with 7 points (1W,1P,0S,1L).

Thanks to everyone who shared their copy, bought the expansion, and generally helped make this tournament successful!

Edmonton's NextGen presents: DIYalogue Talks Quality Play

The Edmonton Board Gaming League will be mentoring at Edmonton NextGen's upcoming DIYalogue event on January 24th!

The focus of this DIYalogue event is on "Quality Play" and is inspired by the worlds of gaming, game-playing and healthy competition in the Edmonton Area.

As a result of winning our GameAlot "draw" back in September, Samson C earned the right to select the club's first game of focus in 2013. He chose Shogun with the Tenno's Court Expansion (where applicable).
