2024 Season Registration Starts November 17th!

If you like meeting new people while learning and playing new (modern) table top games, and you don't mind a little light competition from time to time, maybe the Edmonton Board Gaming League is for you!

Registration for the League's 2024 season opens in-person at 7pm MST on Friday, November 17th (2023) and online (here) at 12pm/noon MST on Saturday, November 18th.


EBGL 2024 Season Registration In-Person Event

When: Friday, November 17, 2023 at 7pm MST
Where: Mission: Fun & Games - 560 St Albert Trail, St. Albert (Alberta, Canada)
Cost: $10 (cash only please)

Vacant seats on the roster are limited, but they will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

EBGL 2023 Season Finale and Awards!

The 2023 Edmonton Board Gaming League season officially ended a little earlier this year on October 13th and this year's award winners were announced during the October 27th awards night event. On behalf of the entire club and our sponsors, we'd like to congratulate the following members on their awards this year:

2023 League Champion (highest league rating) - Chris S
2023 Second Place (second highest league rating) - Lance P & Shawn R
2023 Rookie of the Year - Chris H
2023 Most Outstanding Player (best demonstrates the qualities and behaviours of the League) - Edward K
2023 Most Achievements Earned (most club/game achievements earned) - Lance P & Shawn R
2023 Highest Win-Loss Percentage - Chris S
2023 Most Second Place Wins - Rob D

2023 was a triumphant return year for the EBGL as we boasted a new record roster size, record attendance at some events, and a record amount spent on our sponsor (Mission: Fun & Games). We also celebrated our 15th season and brought in some new contests and a new special event (EBGLapalooza). Huge thanks to all of our members and of course our sponsor for making our 2023 season a memorable one! We hope to see you all on November 17th for the 2024 Season Registration event!

Underwater Cities Tournament Results

The Underwater Cities tournament ended on October 13th with first place being tied between Patrick C and Michael F with 10 points (2W,0S,1P,2T,0L,0GW) over the three days. Second place went to Chris H with 7 points (1W,0S,1P,2T,1L,0GW)

This was our final scored event the 2023 season so on behalf of the league organizers, I want to send our thanks out to everyone who purchased and provided copies of Underwater Cities and also to everyone who unfortunately had to stay away over the past few events due to illness!

EBGLAPALOOZA 2023!

The EBGL's first ever EBGLAPALOOZA event was successfully held at Mission: Fun & Games on Saturday, October 7th. Over 18 games were played over the 11 hour event and literally hundreds of draw tickets awarded to game players and hosts. In the end, 6 people walked away with some nice gift cards totalling over $300! Congrats to Randal P for walking away with the highest prize total.

We'd like to thank Mission: Fun & Games for being such a great host for us and thanks to all of our members who volunteered to host (teach) and play games throughout the day.
