Gamer Biography:

I’ve been a gamer all my life, with Risk being the most “strategic” game for a long time(only game you can get in rural Alberta!). Once I played Settlers of Catan in my early 20’s, I was hooked on Euro-style games. My husband also enjoys gaming and we’ve been in a game group for about 15 years. We’ve played a lot of worker-placement, resource collection style games over the years but are recently branching out to different styles which seem to be more enjoyable for our kids. I really enjoy Co-op games and have recently started some solo gaming. Some of my favourites over the years include: Settlers/Cities, Puerto Rico, Carcassonne, Power Grid, Goa, Agricola, 7 Wonders, Kingsburg, Pandemic, Dominion, Jamaica, Blood Rage; Baulder’s Gate, Keyflower, and Arkham Horror: LCG. We have about 150 games in our collection, give or take and I’ve been known to go on a buying spree every so often. I absolutely love playing board games and learning new varieties/mechanics to keep things fresh.
