Gamer Biography:

I was first introduced to the world of gaming back in the fall of 1990 when I was invited to play AD&D with a bunch of seniors in high school. Since then, I've played well over ten and GM'd six different pen & paper RPG's, four of which I designed and created myself. Some of the RPG's I've played include: AD&D, D&D, Star Wars D6, Star Wars D20, Tales of the Force, S.T.R.O.N.G.E.R., Shadowknight, Star Trek, Battletech, and Marvel Superheroes.

Next came my CCG gaming experiences, which started a year later, in 1991 when a friend bought a box of Magic: The Gathering (Alpha edition) cards. At first I thought the game was silly and the art was horrible, but the game became very addicting. For 10 years I collected, played, and attended MTG tournaments. I have also delved into a few other CCGs such as Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and Marvel Vs System but nothing quite like MTG. I currently do not play any CCGs.

Multiplayer computer gaming started slow for me in 1994, when my parents bought me my first PC (an IBM PS/2 DX2-50Mhz!). I would play games such as Star Control 2 against friends on the same computer and eventually grew into games like Command & Conquer and Warcraft via Null Modem or Dial-up Modem. Gaming died during college, but after graduating I joined an official Starseige Tribes clan and came second place on the North American Tribes ladder. Tribes then evolved into Counterstrike for a couple years and then I was introduced into the world of MMORPGs. I've spent way too much time playing Dark Age of Camelot, Star Wars Galaxies, City of Heroes and World of Warcraft (to name a few).

Finally, I didnt really get into boardgaming until I had established a solid group of friends in the Edmonton area, which was around the year 2000-2001 or so. I found that many people in Edmonton collected and played boardgames, which of course got me hooked into trying them out and eventually designing and creating my own.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the EBGL grows and what sort of unique and exciting experiences everyone will bring to the "table".
