How often does the EBGL meet?

The EBGL's "season" is about 11 months long, from January to November each year - with some possible "bonus" open gaming nights during the December/January months. During the season, League play nights are officially every second Friday (bi-weekly). We also host one official "open gaming" night between each focus game (so approximately every 2-3 months). Open gaming also automatically occurs at every event once all of the scored game(s) are completed.

Also, at least 4 times a year, the EBGL hosts or helps organize an optional weekend or evening "Special Event" for members only (i.e. no guests or new applicants), where there may be an entry fee but door prizes, bonus league points, and awards are typically given out to attendees. Attendance is typically limited at these events to allow us to organize more unique play formats.

At least 5 days before every game night an automated email is sent out reminding all members of the upcoming event (if signed up for automated reminders). It is the member's responsibility to respond by forum post if they plan to attend or else it will be assumed they are not attending. Because this is an organized league play environment, we do expect our members to try to attend at least one in every three official (scored) league events to maintain their membership. EBGL events usually have attendance caps that change depending on the game being played so members will need to RSVP early to guarantee event entry.

Beyond the minimum expectations, everyone in the club is welcome and encouraged to attend as often as possible. If at least 4 people are not signed up for a league play night, it will be cancelled.
